Could bamboo blinds in Kenya make your balcony a place to sit after lunch instead of a place to dry clothes?

Bamboo blinds are natural bamboo slats that roll up and down to filter the sun with a warm, earthy look indoors or outside. At Excel Deco, bamboo blinds cost KSh 5,999 per sqm, or about KSh 6,000 per sqm installed, made to measure.

Where do bamboo blinds in Kenya work best?

Balconies and verandas: shade without closing in the space.
Living rooms: soft filtered light and a natural texture.
Restaurants and cafes: a warm look that suits outdoor seating.
Not for: full privacy at night. Light shows through the gaps between slats.

Bamboo blinds questions

Can bamboo blinds go outdoors?

Yes. We supply them for balconies and verandas as well as indoor windows.

Do they block all light?

No. They filter light. Pair them with a blackout roller blind if you need darkness.

How do I clean them?

Dust with a soft brush. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and let them dry fully before you roll them up again.

Are bamboo blinds in Nairobi made to measure?
