Which SPC flooring in Kenya suits my rooms?

4mm: bedrooms and rentals on a flat, sound screed.
5mm: living rooms and corridors with daily foot traffic.
6mm: busy homes, shops and offices where you want a solid feel underfoot.
Herringbone: a feature room where the pattern is the point.

Picture a family in Kilimani with a toddler, a dog and a glass of juice that is always about to fall. A 5mm grey oak SPC floor takes the spill, wipes clean and still feels warmer than tiles when the children sit on it.

SPC flooring questions

What is the SPC flooring meaning?

SPC stands for stone plastic composite. The core is mostly stone powder bound with PVC, which keeps each plank rigid and waterproof.

Can SPC tiles go in a kitchen or bathroom?

Yes. The planks do not swell with water, so kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms are fine. Wipe up standing water along the walls.

Can I lay an SPC floor over old tiles?

Usually yes, if the old tiles are flat and firmly stuck. Loose or cracked tiles must be fixed first or the planks will flex.

How many square metres should I order?

Multiply length by width for each room and add about 10 percent for cuts. Our SPC price per square metre guide walks through the sums.

Is SPC better than laminate or vinyl?

SPC is the safest choice where water is a risk. Laminate costs a little less and vinyl is softer. Read SPC vs vinyl vs laminate flooring before you decide.
