Why SPC wins the main rooms
It is waterproof, mops clean, takes furniture and fits in a day. Dust does not scratch it the way it scratches laminate. Keep afternoon sun off it with blinds.
Why carpet still wins bedrooms
Nairobi mornings are cold. A carpet is warm underfoot and quiet. Fitted wall to wall carpet from KSh 1,499 per sqm is still the best value comfort upgrade.

Get the order of works right
Floors are often fitted too early in a new house and get ruined by painters. Follow this order.
