This 1mm foam underlay goes under laminate flooring and under any SPC or click lock plank that does not have its own attached pad. It smooths out small bumps in the screed or tiles, reduces the hollow sound of footsteps and gives a slight cushion so the floor feels better to walk on.

Each roll is 1m wide and 50m long, so one roll covers 50 square metres, which is a typical two bedroom flat in Nairobi. The foam is light, easy to cut with scissors and is laid edge to edge with the joins taped. Boards then float on top.

It suits anyone fitting laminate in Nairobi, whether through Excel Deco or with their own fitter. It also suits landlords refreshing several units at once. It is not a damp proof membrane. On ground floors with any sign of moisture a plastic sheet goes down first.

Delivery within Nairobi is same or next day and rolls are couriered to other towns in Kenya. Collection from Summit House, Moi Avenue is welcome. Buy it together with laminate boards and Excel Deco calculates the exact quantity for you.
